My grandfather is in the hospital - he had a TIA, basically a mini-stroke but w/o long term side effects. It's not the first time. But it IS the first time in two years. That means his medications aren't working anymore. They'll keep him for observation tonight and then run tests tomorrow. His birthday is in a week or so too. He's been such a constant in my life. I learned to polka by standing on his feet. Oh the things a grandfather will do for his first grandchild... He's rather straightlaced and conservative - though what is to be expected of a man who has spent his whole life with the dead and dying. First as a medic in the Korean War and then as an ambulance driver and mortician. There's nothing I can do for him and I think that's what sucks the most. I just wish there was.
