Today there will be food and beer and cake at my house - a pleasant family day. Tonight, we will journey down to our favorite place to watch the local fireworks and much fun will be had there too. I love the fourth of July. I can remember, as a wee girl, sitting on the trunk of my grandparents' car to watch them - all those big beautiful fire blossoms. At the time - it was purely amazing. It still amazes me. I love it.  It's shaping up to be a beautiful, if blissfully lazy, day. But - it's time to start the cake. I've promised CrazyHorse he can decorate it.
