I had a dream last night that was about as real as dreams get for me. I was having a conversation with my mom - cooing over pics of the kids, talking about life. Lately, I've been really down on myself - confidence issues - which  domynoe  rightly pointed out was probably all about the upcoming query cycle for Strange Angels. And, like mommykisses do, this dream conversation, or whatever it was, made me feel so much better. Hearing it from her, the woman I so cherish even now, made all the difference. I can do this. I can do this and not lose faith in myself. I am my mother's daughter after all. She was the one person who always believed in me, who never once doubted me or made me doubt myself. To hear it from her - even in this way, our only way - was just the salve I needed.
